The manifold starts with a CNC machined intake flange that features common sized o-ring gaskets for a perfect seal to the cylinder head. The flange is angled for the correct fuel injector location and matches the OEM placement. We also added a NPT port to allow for a simple PCV fix over the OEM intake manifold. This allows use of our optional PCV kit or you can use an existing kit that you may already have. The runners are formed to the intake manifold flange and base plate and TIG welded in position. The base plate features CNC machined velocity stacks and fuel rail mounting points that work with the OEM fuel rail. The plenum is sized accordingly to the engine displacement and will work well with additional aftermarket components. The vacuum plate utilizes the OEM MAF sensor and also adds (2) 1\/8 NPT ports, (1) 1\/4” NPT port, (1) 3\/8 NPT port. Finally the throttle body flange is CNC machined to work with the OEM throttle body and features a smooth transition into the plenum for optimal airflow into each cylinder.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe intake manifold matches OEM performance in the low RPM range and increases in torque and power till 6000 RPM. Total gains of 11 whp, and 10 ft\/lbs of torque, with increases through the majority of the RPM band. The catch can \/ air oil separator works by intercepting the air oil mixture from the PCV or crankcase, and through a series of baffles, retains the oil in the catch can and allows the air to flow through. As the air and oil droplets enter the catch can they are diverted around the spring\/inlet tube. This initial diversion creates a swirling effect that is continued through the filtration process. Each baffle utilizes an offset hole pattern which can be rotated or flipped to promote an increased swirling effect which can be seen in the CFD analysis below. We specifically designed the baffles and perforation plate to assist in allowing the air to flow freely and provide the oil every opportunity to stay in the catch can. Finally, once through the internal baffle system, the air will pass through the final perforation disc before exiting back into the vehicle system.
